The application was launched last Wednesday (16) and the initiative is part of the Accelerate Foz Program, which is strategically coordinated by Itaipu Binacional and partners. For the tourist, there will be ease in the acquisition of products and services, exclusive discounts and a “cashback” system, that is, return of part of the purchase value in credit. The application can be downloaded for free in Android and IOS (Apple) versions.
The manager of Itaipu's Institutional Image Division, Daniel Reis, explains the company's phases and expectations regarding the launch of the application Foz with Discounts: “In the first phase, we presented Foz do Iguaçu as a safe destination, working in a closer market, up to 1,000 kilometers away. In this new phase, the adherence of local actors will be essential for the campaign to be successful.”.
How will the new digital platform work?
The system is in operation in the cities of Natal and Mossoró (both in Rio Grande do Norte) and in João Pessoa (in Paraíba). Foz do Iguaçu will be the first city outside the Northeast to receive the novelty, adapted to the local reality. According to Thiago Cortez, representative of the startup that developed the application, the company's participation is simple.
For a better understanding: in the application, the entrepreneur has a virtual showcase where he can manage products and offers. In addition, the user will have technical support and exposure of the company's name on social media. There is no membership fee and the cost to the company will be 3.5% of bank transactions.
