Foz do Iguaçu Airport will recover air connectivity to six destinations, five of them national and one international, in October. The information was made public by the secretary of Tourism, Industry, Commerce and Strategic Projects, Gilmar Piolla.
The forecast is for the return of direct flights to Curitiba, Porto Alegre, Rio de Janeiro (Galeão), São Paulo (Congonhas), Ponta Grossa and Santiago do Chile. It is worth reminding the traveler that, so far, there are only direct flights to São Paulo (Guarulhos) and Campinas (Viracopos).

Curitiba
A Azul Airlines confirmed the return of flights between Curitiba and Foz do Iguaçu, five times a week, from Monday to Friday, starting on October 5th. The route will be operated with Airbus A-320 aircraft.
Flight AD 4066 will leave Curitiba at 11:25 am and arrive in Foz do Iguaçu at 12:40 pm. The return to the capital of Paraná will be with flight AD 4067, departing from Foz at 3 pm and arriving in Curitiba at 4:10 pm.
Porto Alegre
On the same day, October 5, the Blue Flight AD 4181 starts connecting Porto Alegre to Foz do Iguaçu, departing from the capital of Rio Grande do Sul at 11:30 am and arriving at 1:05 pm, with ATR model planes.
The return from Foz do Iguaçu takes place with flight AD 4182, leaving at 1:55 pm and arriving in Porto Alegre at 3:30 pm. It should be noted that the flight will take place three times a week, always on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Rio de Janeiro (Galeao)
As of October 9th, the Gol Linhas Aéreas starts direct flights, with a frequency of six times a week, except on Sundays, connecting Galeão airport, in Rio de Janeiro, to Foz do Iguaçu.
Flight G3 2290 will leave Rio de Janeiro at 7:40 pm arriving in Foz do Iguaçu at 9:55 pm. The return to Rio de Janeiro will be by flight G3 2289, departing at 7:15 am and arriving at 9:10 am.
São Paulo (Congonhas and Ponta Grossa)
Another airline that starts flights to Foz do Iguaçu in October is FlyPass (formerly Passaredo), with connections four times a week between Congonhas airport (SP) with a stopover in Ponta Grossa, in Campos Gerais, Paraná.
Flight 2314 will leave Congonhas on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 12:00 pm, passing through Ponta Grossa and arriving in Foz do Iguaçu at 3:15 pm. The return flight will be the 2315, departing from Foz do Iguaçu at 3:45 pm and arriving in Congonhas at 7:10 pm, with a stopover in Ponta Grossa.
Chile Santiago
Also on October 25, the low-cost airline's flight begins operating JetSmart connecting Santiago do Chile to Foz do Iguaçu, twice a week, on Sundays and Thursdays.
The flight leaves Santiago de Chile at 5:30 pm and arrives in Foz at 8:25 pm. The return will be at 21:20 and arrival in Santiago at 00:25.
