The unprecedented CellShop in Brazil
According to Jorbel Griebeler, CEO of the Cell Motion group, CellShop will be the first store in Paraguay to open a unit in Foz do Iguaçu. The group was already studying possibilities to open a headquarters in Brazil even before the pandemic hit.
In Brazil, the proposal to open free shops (free stores) is more attractive than in Paraguay, says Griebeler, since the import tax in the neighboring country is usually high and in Brazil this cost is zero.
The biggest duty-free store in Foz do Iguaçu
With more than 2,000 m², CellShop will be located at Shopping Catuaí Palladium, on the L2 floor, close to Cinemark and the food court. That is, some points are very interesting, among them, the ease of a mall with parking, food court.
CellShop will start with around 60% from the list of products that are already sold at the Ciudad Del Este headquarters, such as electronics, food and beverages, cosmetics, designer clothing, toys, sports accessories and camping items.
It is worth noting that the store currently distributes 50 world-renowned brands, and the new anchor store will generate around 200 direct jobs, bringing more income and boosting the region's economy.
Attention for the opening!
The inauguration of the Catuaí Palladium CellShop is scheduled for April 8, Thursday, where the quota for purchases in the store on the Brazilian side will be U$300.
Foz do Iguaçu encourages shopping tourism
In addition to the Iguaçu Falls and other tourist attractions, the arrival of CellShop will be another attraction for Foz. The city is reinventing itself and is on its way to becoming a reference in shopping tourism by receiving duty free shops.
