Works on the footbridge on the Argentine side of the Iguazu Falls are completed

The walkway on the Argentine side of the Iguazu Falls is one of the park's main attractions, providing an impressive view of the Devil's Throat, the largest waterfall in the complex. However, in October 2022, the walkways were partially destroyed due to the high flow of the Iguaçu River, which reached the impressive mark of 16.5 million liters per second, the second highest in the history of the Falls. This led to the closure of the walkways for repairs.

Fortunately, after months of intense work, the reconstruction work was completed last Friday (24). A walkway is now restored and ready to receive visitors again. The reopening represents a major step forward for the park, as well as for the region as a whole.

According to the Iguaçu National Park administration, the walkway will open to the public on March 1st. In addition to the Garganta do Diabo footbridge, visitors can opt for tours on other circuits, such as the upper circuit and the lower circuit, which also offer spectacular views of the waterfalls.
