The unique beauty of this attraction
The Chen Tien Buddhist Temple is located in a high region of Foz do Iguaçu, where it is possible to have a view of part of the city center and of Ciudad del Este, in Paraguay. The Temple allows a closer contact with Buddhist philosophy and, of course, a moment of rest during your trip.
The site was built in 1996 and today has more than 120 statues, each with its own meaning, with the highlights being the 7-meter-high Buddha statue and the temple that creates a very special environment for the attraction.
How is the tour?
The tour takes place with a very silent walk in an open place, with a privileged view of Foz do Iguaçu and Ciudad del Este, where more than 120 statues, beautiful gardens and the architecture of the main temple can be appreciated. Visitation is free and takes place from Monday to Saturday, from 9:30 am to 4 pm.
The Temple is located at Rua Dr. Josivalter Vila Nova, nº 99, on the corner of Rua Antonio Cezar Cabral, in Bairro Jardim California.
To get there by bus is simple: at the urban transport terminal you should look for line 103 (Jardim das Flores – Porto Belo). This bus will take you to the entrance of the place (tell the driver and he will leave you a few meters from the entrance of the Temple). By car: just follow Avenida Tancredo Neves towards Itaipu, there is a sign on the road, just follow it.
