Day 1 – Bird Park + Waterfalls (Brazil)
How about starting the tour contemplating the song of more than 1,300 birds that inhabit the Bird Park?
The ecological sanctuary has 16 hectares of restored Atlantic Forest and is home to macaws, toucans, flamingos, several species of native plants, insects, reptiles and much more. And the cool thing is that many of these birds were rescued and are very well taken care of.

Day 2 – Argentine side of the Falls + Puerto Iguazú Market
Although Brazil and Argentina share the waters of the Falls, it is impossible to travel to Foz do Iguaçu and not reserve a day to enjoy the waterfalls on the other side of the border.
O Iguazu National Park it is located in the province of Misiones, in Argentina, and also has a complete structure and varied attractions to welcome its visitors.
On the Argentinean side, the ecological train runs through the park in the middle of the forest and along the entire tour it is possible to enjoy the fresh air and silence that only nature is able to provide.

The Iguazú National Park is open every day from 8 am to 6 pm. However, the entry of visitors is only allowed until 3 pm, so it's good to plan to enjoy it without worries.

The place is ideal for tasting delicacies from the neighboring country's cuisine, such as cheeses, empanadas, beers and wines, a great way to end the day!
Day 3 – Itaipu tourist complex
Another unmissable tour for anyone visiting Foz do Iguaçu is the visit to the Itaipu Hydroelectric Plant, which is located on the border between Brazil and Paraguay and is the largest generator of clean and renewable energy in the world.
In addition to appreciating this monumental work of engineering, on the Itaipu Panoramic, which lasts about two hours, visitors can opt for the attractions Itaipu Especial and Refúgio Biológico, which allow you to see the plant from another perspective.
At the Special Itaipu, the tourist can get to know the interior structure of the hydroelectric plant, passing through the observatories and the central control room of the plant. The tour lasts approximately 2h30 and prior booking is required.
You must also be over 14 years old and follow safety recommendations (such as wearing closed-toe shoes and clothing below the knee) to be able to visit.
And anyone who wants to get to know the region's biodiversity more closely cannot fail to visit the Bela Vista Biological Refuge, which is located within the hydroelectric complex and brings together native animal species.
Another tip is to enjoy the unmissable view of the sunset on the Kattamaram, which runs through the waters of Lake Itaipu.
The show takes place on Friday and Saturday nights. Itaipu Illuminated. With a special soundtrack, 747 reflectors and 112 light fixtures, the presentation lasts about two hours and is a show worth seeing!
Day 4 – Shopping in Paraguay and Visit to Marco das Três Fronteiras
When visiting Foz do Iguaçu, it is certainly worth taking a day to cross the border and do some shopping in Paraguay.
Ciudad del Este has options for malls, stores and duty-free shops, where you can find items such as electronics, cosmetics, drinks, makeup, perfumes and even clothes and shoes for a very attractive price.
So, how about preparing that little list with the most desired items and leaving for the neighboring country?
